Principal Solutions Architect at Okera. Lars George has been involved with Hadoop, HBase and the Big Data ecosystem since 2007. He has written multiple O’Reilly books, including “HBase – The Definitive Guide”. Before Okera, Lars was CTO of a startup, co-founded a Big Data consulting firm, and worked at Cloudera for five years, where, as the EMEA Chief Architect, he helped many fortune 500 companies around the world define their Big Data architectures. He has a Dipl.-Inform. (FH) degree from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Germany.
